NFL Football Betting Champ Guide – NFC East
In our previous article, “The Best Football Games,” we discussed the games with the most Suns vs Bucks ratios and factors that affected these selections. In this article, we will go through the top-rated picks and factors for each team. In the Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Houston Texans, there are two distinct groups of players that have a lot to do with the outcome of this rivalry. The first set of players belong to the secondary that includes a pair of young stars in the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s Darrelle Revis and Vincent Smith. On the other side of the coin, the Texans have a solid defense that features many key players such as Brian Bosworth, Jadeveon Clowney, Jonathan Joseph, Patrick Chung, and the sack monster that is Elvis Dumervil.
These two teams met in week two of the season, when the Texans came out on top on both sides of the coin, winning 16-3. One of the keys to this victory was the work of the running game of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which helped them to control the game. During the game, the running game of the Tampa Bay Buccaneer was outstanding, they combined for over 120 yards rushing, and this performance earned the Buccaneer the number one spot in the rankings, ahead of the defending Super Bowl champs, the New England Patriots.
The Texans did not play their best ball during this match, but it was still enough to pull out a victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneer. During the first half, the Texans had issues with slowing down the offense, but they managed to make some adjustments and get the ball into the end zone early. Late in the first quarter, the turnover occurred which brought the two teams to an even field goal. Late in the half, the ever-reliable Running Back, T.J. Bowe showed why he is so good with the football, getting his career-best, game-winning touchdown against the previously winless Philadelphia Eagles.
With that sort of performance and the following week, the Texans will be considered a legitimate threat to take the AFC North and reach the playoffs for the second year in a row. Of course, the Lions have the better overall personnel, but the Houston Texans have been playing better each week, proving they are contenders for the AFC North. Last week, the Texans put up some impressive offensive numbers, but in the end, the Lions were not able to pull out a victory. This gives the Lions a slight edge in the division, especially as one of the favorites.
This could be considered a bounce or a rest in the same division, but the Lions need to regroup quickly and figure out who is their biggest threat. This will be one of the most interesting weeks to see in the NFL, and this could be the week the Detroit Lions prove they are contenders for the playoffs. Or it could be just another losing season for the Lions.
The Packers have been playing some of their best football lately, but they will find this tough competition a bit too much to handle. It will definitely be an interesting battle between these two teams, but who will come out on top? Both teams have stars, but it appears the Packers are the better team, and more importantly, more rested. This should mean more than enough to put Green Bay in front of the Saints in the divisional round. The injury to Favre may be more of a blow to the Packers than to the Saints.
The Dallas Cowboys are fresh off of a huge win over the hated Philadelphia Eagles, and all is looking positive for this team as they move closer to clinching the NFC East. This will definitely be a high-scoring affair, but will not be without enough drama for the Dallas Cowboys to pull out a victory. Everyone will be watching for Dez Bryant to make some magic come true with his last drive of the game and seal the deal. If he can, this will be one of the most memorable moments of the season for the Cowboys. The Eagles are just the better team and have a very realistic shot at taking the division.
In what many would consider the biggest game of the year, the Super Bowl will once again take place in New Orleans. The undefeated New Orleans Saints will once again take on the hated Giants in what should be a very high-scoring affair. Who will come out on top this time? The answer will likely have everyone buzzing around the NFL picks as each team attempts to emerge as the clear victor.
